Episode 3 - Universal Medicine and the Media
Do we really live in a free market? Are we actually free to offer the services that we know will benefit our communities? Or is it the case that if the services we offer expose others’ modes of business it will be seen as a threat?
In this episode we explore the new innovator bullying, cyber abuse and press abuse levelled at Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine and take a look ‘behind the news’ at the business the media dubbed a ‘cult’ and the man they labelled a cult-leader. In a region renowned for its celebrated diversity of healing therapies, communities and groups, in 2012 when a series of articles came out vilifying the popular complementary healing business with outright lies, it was clear that there was a greater agenda at play. After all, why lie about something unless you have nothing of genuine concern to report? And why lie at all? What was it about Serge Benhayon and his work that he was being perceived as a threat to the status quo of health, medicine and healing? Moreover, what was he presenting about Women’s wellbeing that was breaking with an unspoken cultural protocol?
The championing of true equality for women, not just talked about, but lived, has never been more publicly available than it is through the work of Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon. In a world which continues to foster an embedded culture of mysogyny and especially within a media landscape in which inequality and sexism is rife, the media and particularly the journalist’s involved in early coverage of Universal Medicine were unable (or unwilling) to discern fact from derogatory pulp fiction about ‘brain washed female followers’. Through an already broken lens they failed to see the story right in front of them. This episode explores the lack of accountability in media that impacts the very fabric of community and society.

Definitely the deepest form of common sense. I have connected to many people across the student body or ‘village’ as the interview described it as such. Some people I’ve never met (yet) yet speak to them over the internet with a level of decency and respect and collaboration that I’ve found void in working relationships or even friendships and family across the board and as a student body, we share an interest or livingness of what Serge and Universal Medicine presents.
There is a crime being committed against the whole of humanity and a majority of us seems to not know this is happening under our very noses. For many of us it is such a struggle to get through daily life, that this is all we are concerned about and there are so many crimes and injustices we tend to think what’s one more? We are worn down and in this worn down state we are not able to understand or appreciate the enormity of the force behind those few people that want to gag Universal Medicine. I feel this is done so Universal Medicine is not able to inform humanity of the fact that we are being lied to on a huge scale. To me the book ‘1984’ written by George Orwell has come to life and this is the life we are all living and there is someone saying ‘but actually it doesn’t have to be this way,’ and the controllers and manipulators of the false life have too much to lose and are making a concerted effort to not allow the whistle blower to be heard and is making every effort to close down the truth.
To keep humanity from the truth of the wisdom Serge Benhayon is here to share with the world, is as far as I am concerned, a crime against humanity, and those committing that “crime” ought to be answerable for their actions. As Serge expresses, not everyone may agree with what he shares and some may absolutely hate it, but at least they know it’s there and that they have the choice to reject it or say yes to it. This is a true market, unlike the market we have today where certain factions try to control what they want humanity to hear and to know, and in so doing removing the right for each and every one of us to have the freedom to make that choice for ourselves.
A lot of the food products in many supermarkets have started a basic colour coded labelling system that tells you about the amount of calories, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrate, sugars, protein and salt in the food so that you have an idea what your money is buying. How about we have such a system for media items, so that we know the amount of truth, first hand experience, genuine research, suspect information, fabrications, personal views, personal agenda or deliberate lies we are getting.
Same here Fiona, it has changed my perception as well. The media are not interested in the truth so does that mean nor are we? Or could we change and make truth important to us?
While we allow the media to print lies and buy their produce then to me it is saying that as a community of people most of us are not ready to hear that we live in a world full of greed, corruption and abuse behaviour. May be it’s all too much as then we have to take responsibility for the mess our society is in and I feel not many people wants to own up to this or seemingly do anything about it.
The Truth and what sells papers are two very different things in our society.
Serge Benhayon has inspired both men and women to see each other as true equals, and to help us see the sacredness and preciousness of a woman’s body. He has done this through the way he lives, he presents what he lives and we can feel that equalness whenever we are with him.
If you ever get to thinking you’ve got issues and life is too hard, just watch one of these videos here and it all just falls away to leave you with responsibility, simplicity and connection. Thank you Serge Benhayon for what you bring ‘hot off the press’ from your inner heart to ours.
Serge Benhayon is absolutely correct when he says we have not got a true free market when ‘Big Brother’ dictates what can or cannot be allowed and this reminds me of the way that the Catholic church has throughout history crushed the teachings of the Ancient Wisdom. If the Library of the Vatican was opened up to the public, the world would at last know the truth behind the Albigensian Crusade in 1209 which led to the massacre of the Cathars and the people of South America. This was the brutality of ‘Big Brother’ in action and it is still occurring today.
I was considered outspoken when I was a child growing up and this was frowned upon by my parents especially my father. I have come to the understanding that people who speak the truth of a situation are not welcome because they expose the lies we live with and have accepted as truth. And no one likes to be exposed and so the pack energy is wielded against you.
When I look back over the last 100 years I see that humanity has been lied to so often. and the truth hidden, such in the case of the harm of cigarettes – which was finally exposed; the harm of sugar which is currently being exposed; and still being lied to about the harm of alcohol. All these lies have harmed humanity in so many ways. And today we have more lies being fed to humanity about Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine, an organisation of the utmost integrity which is offering the answers to the ills of the world. People aren’t stupid and when presented with the truth they will more often than not know, so why hide a way of living that has the potential to change their lives; they can always say no thank you.
We have to stop and consider the extent of lies and how this seeps into so many areas just so we can maintain our version of the truth. Is it possible that Universal Medicine is too exposing for some and so extreme lies are spread about them?
I agree, truth does not get much air in society, there is so often self interest and so if this happens regularly how can there be truth, we talk about it but we do not live it. We know this but it serves us to pretend that it is true, when it is loaded with agendas.
The average person if they were in the shoes of Serge Benhayon would have collapsed with the on slaught of abuse that has taken place. Serge Benhayon is remarkable and every single abuse that has taken place he hasn’t reacted but only has understanding and respect for the persons that continue to acuse with accusations that are totally empty.
I was brought up with an idealistic look at print and the media. Whatever was in print was looked upon as the efforts and wise contribution of those who deeply cared about all aspects of life, so it was treated with great reverence. My observation over the years has led to a 180 degrees change of view.
Everything has a supply and demand relationship. This realisation is a very bitter pill, especially with the extent of lies, misrepresentations and manipulation we currently have everywhere and in every aspect of society – our media being a loud and clear example of that.
A very bitter pill that we are starting to get truth and clarity from with this incredible site and the discussions offered.
‘I’ve set a standard where Truth is lived’ says Serge Benhayon, and we have all witnessed that, it is not a cult, he is simply living with a unity in the world-wide community in a way that inspires us to do the same. As Rebecca says, it is not a dogma or a set of beliefs, it is the deepest level of common sense that we relate with the deepest decency, care and respect.
Agreed Carmel, this standard will one day be everyones standard. And what is interesting is depsite all the media attacks its actually the standard that everyone wants today. Ask anyone and they will say they want love, simplicity, amazing wisdom, incredible relationships and a feeling of joy throughout the day.
Self gain over humanities hurts – interesting what we offer when the world is in dire straits.
I recall at one of the first Universal Medicine workshops I attended Serge Benhayon started talking about different occupations by describing the most divine contribution they could be offering humanity. I recall for example for the first time I saw that the profession of Law was about supporting people in establishing and deepening harmony with one another, far cry from what I had assumed it was, i.e. pitching one lot against the other and coming out as the hero by securing the upper hand at the expense of the other party. As he described one profession after another I cried. How glorious our expression can be and what a sham we are actually living.
Ironic that there are journalists who have sided with a cyber troll to attack him. Journalism could be so much more. But it could all be so very different, e.g. here is a website of someone I consider brings great quality to the art of journalism, while her main line of work is actually a general surgeon! http://thesoulfuldoctor.co.uk/
We can see the shark-like attitude in the media: “I can do what I like and get away with it”. It is time for us to wise up with what we choose to be consumers of rather than go for entertainment.
There is zero judgement from Serge with regard to those who abuse, vilify and lie in society about Universal Medicine. There is complete understand and holding of them in love but there is also a calling out of the irresponsibility and zero pandering to their foul energy. A delicate and carefully mastered expression of love and truth all in one.
It’s true what Serge has shared about the amazing relationships in the Universal Medicine community, they are totally different to what I’ve experienced in the past, as relating is via qualities which come from our essence, and in the essence of who we are there is an equality that transcends physicality and gender. It’s a really beautiful experience and something I take out with me to the world, people love being related to this way as our essence is something we all innately have even if it’s buried temporarily under beliefs, ideals, and the roles we have taken on – the true beauty is still in there.
A man who loves men and women, equally, he inspires us to question our roles and gender ideas concerning our assumptions, but why not…there is much to reconsider about how men and women relate to one another.
With fragility being an open sharing of the undeveloped part of us, I can see how supportive this would be in relationships, because to be openly fragile allows the space for another person to come in to their strengths and to support you as you openly learn and develop, thus making it possible for greater intimacy.
The media are masters at manipulating, bastardising and compartmentalising what ever the subject to get their side across in which ever way they are wanting to sell it at. The irony is we buy and support such corruption. We have the power and it’s about us asking and calling for truth.
I agree with Serge Benhayon, people are not stupid and people will be able to work out what is true and what is not, especially when they experience something for themselves. In this example where the media has made up lies about Universal Medicine, it means they are robbing people of truth, of them accessing support that could potentially be life changing, inspirational and revolutionary. Many people may think that the media is about publishing truth and bringing real news to people, but in this example with Universal Medicine, the media has not delivered truth but lies. So, what has happened to our media industry, if lies are allowed to be printed?
When I look back over the last few years at the absolute lies about Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine certain sections of the media have published I am quite puzzled. Puzzled because they are missing out on the most newsworthy story of the century, a story that once published has the potential to change the lives of many and the world. But it seems so many readers/viewers want the shock-horror reporting, the sensationalism. Unfortunately there is usually very little truth in this form of reporting, unlike the absolute truth Serge Benhayon is sharing with the world.
I am puzzled too Ingrid, because my experience of Universal Medicine from day one has been absolutely incredible. There are no other businesses in this world I have seen that have the same level of integrity, love, respect, and care for people and true success.
I love the fact that the media is now looking at the lives of those who have cast the first stone. A stone that did not land mind you, for Universal Medicine’s integrity is second to none.
Great point, there are ‘invisible lines’ that we do not often cross and if we do then we feel the force of those who want to maintain the status quo, the status quo is harmful, it does not support us as we grow, it limits and prevents us from flourishing. As women and men equally, we all have responsibility for how we are with one another. Serge Benhayon inspires relationships of responsibility. I am inspired by that.
Defining a group of people by shared values and not by a belief system. This is mega huge in this day when there is so much human abuse being inflicted upon eachother in the name of belief.
We like to think we have a free economy, but how can it be free if someone can take a dislike to you for some reason and then work to defame you and your business and then other take up that cause. All this based not on truth but on innuendo and rumours. Should we not be allowed to make up our own minds about what we seek in life to support us?
I agree Jennifer, we should be allowed to make up our own minds. This interview exposes that free economy is not so free and how many people would question this? I love how Serge Benhayon presented this so clearly and it makes absolute sense, and packed full of truth and wisdom.
Media will report whatever they like, regardless of truth and facts. Our job is to simply live truth till the lies fall to the side.
It is amazing how much force comes into play when anything new comes along that reminds people that they are not living in a healthy way. There is a lot of money at stake in the large corporates who sell sugary drinks, alcohol, sugar-laden foods, health products, weed killers and pharmaceuticals, let alone the black market on drugs. We as a one humanity are still demanding these products and Serge Benhayon is merely pointing out this fact. The media have slammed him for expressing an uncomfortable truth. They are cleverly manipulating words and regurgitating their own lies in order to try to bring down Universal Medicine, an organisation that presents courses and events geared towards inspiring us to live a different way, a way that moves us towards Love, Stillness, Harmony and Truth.
What I love is that Universal Medicine’s response is to carry on doing great work, no defence or justification necessary!
Great point Michael. There is also no judgement or condemnation of the detractor, media or abuser. Universal Medicine’s response is in no ways holding back from the truth of what they are doing but equally holding them as an equal.
One of the most powerful things I witnessed attending my first Universal Medicine event in 2012 was the equality women were held in by Serge. It really stood out to me because as a woman I have always felt a power within me that comes from a connection to God, and I have had an intention to explore this and what the truth and meaning of life is, but there are very little avenues to go down that could nurture that within me. Religion in general does not hold women as equally powerful to men, and New Age spirituality also has little to offer on this, so where do you go as a woman? For me Universal Medicine and all Serge offers has been tremendously empowering, at last the equality I have always sought as a woman and the nurturing of my power in practical ways through workshops, clinic sessions, and Serge’s books. It’s a vital point to state for women everywhere that not only are we equal but that there are people in the world like Serge willing to support women to live their power.
Interesting how conclusions can be jumped to when we only know part of the story and especially when the part is based on lies. What we then think is the truth is not even a fragment of what it was started with. This is corruption at its core.
“What was it about Serge Benhayon and his work that he was being perceived as a threat to the status quo of health, medicine and healing?” Great question, why shoot the messenger? We clearly do not have all the answers and what are we afraid of uncovering; the truth of how we are living?
Yes what truths are we unwilling to see that we need to lie, and what lies are we living when we are not prepared to see.
I have often been to the region that you say has a abundance of healing therapies, communities and groups that are incredibly diverse but live with each other seemingly harmoniously a sort of live and let live atmosphere. So I was very surprised in 2012 that a few people could hold such a grudge for such a long time is it nearly 6 years? To me it feels as though there is something greater at play here than what is portrayed on the surface. For me it shows how evil and twisted jealousy can become as it seems capable of eating people up and poisoning their bodies so that this is all they know and live off.
Something that I have observed within the media is, the stories that they tell are re-cycled. There maybe a new slant but they re-tell the same story that may very well not be true. In the case of Universal Medicine, everything that I have seen in the media is a lie and this same lie is getting recycled. How can this continue to happen in civil society where free speech is a respected value? Maybe we need to return to the words free speech and look at what this means and how we have allowed this to be bastardised.
Agree Jennifer, free speech does not give one licence to abuse, which is clearly what has been and continues to be wielded At Universal Medicine or anyone by association.
Any vilification of another through any words, action or movements is harming the ALL.
I feel it’s very common sense what’s shared here, that we have a basic human right to have a free economy and one that is based on truth. If companies don’t share the harmful effects of their product (like in the case of tobacco) then we are not fully informed when we make a decision. If the media smears a company and steers people away from it and its services or products then that is another imposition on our basic right to choose freely. It’s very necessary to expose what’s going on out there, as if the media have smeared the name of Serge’s business Universal Medicine then it’s really a form of bullying, as well as treating the public like pawns in a game of manipulation and power.
There is no media story that can negate how I feel in my body and the journey i’ve been on during the (almost) 22 years I have spent on this planet.
What Serge is presenting is a different way of living and when people get a sense of what this is and how it exposes what is loveless and empty then there is a fight and a struggle to hold onto what comforts us. I know I have resisted on many occasions but it always gets to a point where I just have to stop the fight and say yes to what I know is my inevitable way of being. Letting go of my self possessed ways and live what I know is true.
An industry found on lies and deceit deserves no protection in regard to freedom of speech or print.
The deceit of how things are edited in the media needs to be appraised, it is not uncommon to find out that there has been an agenda set within the media company before filming even gets started and it is ignorant for us not to be honest about the influence of this agenda on the finished copy. Why Universal Medicine is portrayed as it is in the media is for us all to reflect on, it is no different from the games played at election time in the UK for example…, why only look at the surface level drama and gossip as our reality?
Great point in this presentation that the media having free reign to label groups as cults with the implication that they are dangerous to society is no different to the Catholic church and its witch hunts. The media do this all the time using words that they know will get an emotional knee jerk reaction from the public and in this the people in power in the media who are pulling the strings in the background can manipulate public opinion to suit whatever agenda they want. This is exactly the same as how the church kept a firm grip on control of society in the dark ages.
Media and Social Media are all part of the same stimulation fest…there is no if any accountability for what is written and it is so harmful that there is not responsibility chosen, it poisons all of our lives to have toxic flood of salacious gossip poured on us daily.
What amazes me about what Serge presents here is not only the corrupt media, something so many of us already know, but the fact of why is the corruption there? The fact is what are we wanting the media to report on. If we looked at this perhaps we would not have the media we do today.
When there is no accountability there is a responsibility gap and therefore a dis-ease within society.
How often do we cast judgement on people and tell or collude with lies and gossip about others without really observing and understanding them and how they live? The media do this all the time but are we giving them a licence to do this by how we live every day?
Truth can only be lived, it is through the body , how we express that this is felt, not merely though the need, mind and mouth. Truth is an energetic choice and movement and it can not be corrupted, regardless of what is said or suggested about it. It is felt by all of us.
So much has been said by both Serge and Rebecca that after each question/answer you are left to be free to be who you truly are. This is a principle of truth and love.
Do we ask for the Truth from the media or do we ask for something to stimulate our conversations?
I love the example that Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine set. This level of love, care, truth, honouring, dedication and responsibility should in fact be the foundation of every single area of life – including the Media.
There is nothing that someone can tell me that would override my lived experience of any aspect of my life. My body, my life, I know exactly how I feel and what i’ve been through.
If you do the slightest research on the way healers over history have been treated, by organised religion and monarchial and political institutions, it is very clear that there has been strategies to keep the power out of the hands of the common man and woman, they are seen as dangerous and unruly. In truth you can not control anyone, but it can delay, impose ideas and breed fear in the general public when others are made examples of, tortured, excluded and vilified because they are open to healing. …something for us all to ponder, it may not be like the past, where healers were called witches and killed, but I feel organised religion, the scientific community, the media etc…do the same tactics of exclusion and ridicule to anyone that offers an another way…..of living life.
It does not matter how abusive and un-truthful the media maybe about Serge Benhayon never once has he allowed his integrity to lessen nor his love and care of people. By doing so not only is he an inspiration for others he also highlights and exposes the corruption of the media and all that is associated with that.
It’s very true from my experience of Serge that he holds women as equal, as when I began attending Universal Medicine events in 2012 one of the first things I noticed was how well the women attending were doing. After seeing the inequalities in religion, if not degradation towards women, I felt very strongly to continue with studying Serge’s work and it’s definitely been my experience that women are deeply honoured, respected, and truly supported and held equally. I have also attended many events specifically for women from both Universal Medicine and Esoteric Women’s Health which have been life changing for me. Universal Medicine is truly an organisation that is there to serve all people equally.
Like all things when they have been allowed to run a certain direction for a period of time then it will take time to undo or to turn that momentum around. The lies and corruption we see bleed out from how our current media is now operating was set forth long ago in incremental steps, these steps allow it now to stand where it does with few truly believing what is written but then not taking steps to correct what they are already seeing. The way our defined media is at this point hasn’t occurred overnight and when we truly look we see the hand we have played and possibly still play. The consistent correction of what we now see is now needed and in time this will turn everything on it’s head.
We are also our own media in terms of everyday life. We are controlling what we let people see and what we don’t let people see. I wonder where the press got their system from!
Very true and like so many words the word media has been pigeoned holed into what is a small part of a larger picture. When we mentioned media my mind goes straight to a definition and all responsibility points to that definition. Here we have it opening up to include us all and what we are seeing is only a result of what we have all put into this system or this words meaning. As is presented there is more then meets the eye when it comes to media and as we open this back up how we are, our quality comes to the fore.
If the truth were truly sought we would see it, for we all know where to find it.
What is it about us as a society that we turn a blind eye to the way media has so much control and dictatorship over us… The free market that Serge Benhayon is presenting is something that is totally possible and it is down to each and everyone of us to say no to the lies we are being fed. The media wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for the demand so what are we really asking for?
I love the exposing of the lie that there is a free economy when it’s far from free when those who do not fit the designated roles are so unashamedly targeted, lied about and attemptedly discredited – and, what’s worse is those targeted are actually of true service to humanity in a time of much/dire need. This take no prisoners campaign communicates to everyone to not step out of line or else they’ll get the same treatment. It’s wonderful it’s being exposed for what it is so we don’t remain blind to what’s going on and we can stand up to what is true, if we so choose.
We are seeing the media shift in the sense that through blogs we can now be our own media reaching millions of people without publishers or editors… That comes with great responsibility as to what we put out there.
What Serge Benhayon is presenting here is very true as the control media has over businesses or people in the public is huge. A lot of people, even if they have experienced the fact that there are many lies in newspapers and media, still read or watch and react to what it is reported, instead of firstly discerning if what they are hearing or reading is actually truth.
To bring trust back in to humanity simply through how we live in the current world, as it is and in its current state, is quite spectacular and brings with it a great appreciation for all that each person has to offer.
I love Serge Benhayon’s live and let live approach to life. Being a part of the broader Universal Medicine Community I also feel it is important that we are able to live our lives without the criticisms or attacks of others, simply because they don’t like what they think is being presented.
Gee this brings up some memories and an old thing about a concern or controlling yourself because of what you perceive others may say or do. It sinks more and more into living freely within how you truly are regardless of what is playing out in your thoughts or perceptions. Like so many times when you have thought that something is a certain way only to find out that it wasn’t like that or wasn’t about you in that way. What I am saying is that we are being played and our perceptions and thoughts can make up anything they want. Only when you ground truly what is going on do you see the full picture. I see this play out when you perceive or think someone is saying or being a certain way from a simple look but if you approach them or were to approach them and look deeper you see your thoughts had run off into a specific direction. That direction seems to always point critically at yourself and then others. There is another way to lead life and that way isn’t critical of every move you make but supportive and refreshing of you simply truly learning and freely making steps to the rhythm you feel.
The media is our own making, we can not point the finger and say, hey, that is gross, because as a public we ask for it or condone it through our silence. Responsibility says “why are you picking up that paper and reading that story of this and that sensational tid-bit”…and we say “because it distracts us, entertains us, helps us feel better off than others”…but where is the truth? And so Universal Medicine teaches the power of self responsibility….that is not going to go down well in today’s current media climate…it will not ‘sell’, as it is truly represented, so false accusations and lies are spread. Simply put it challenges the current set up in society, it says life is more than what we have settled for… ground breaking stuff…
As you are saying it would appear people won’t ‘buy’ the truth they are preferring drama and gossip or similar. Yet it’s possible this is what we are all wanting and yet no one has delivered it consistently into the public forum for us all to wake up. No one until this current time with Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon and I know I picked it up to read as have many others. This confirms that we are all ‘looking’ for the same thing and yet have sat back on our hands and not actioned all we are feeling. This is all intertwined within our society, no part is isolated and you can see how we are in one area then how it impacts within another. The media part and how we define success or what is popular again are needing our fresh eyes. To not only see what is truly going on but to feel how and where to walk out of it all.
What Serge Benhayon talks about business and a free economy could also be said about general workplaces. When someone or even a team are offering a new way, there can be much reaction against what is being offered. There is much time ‘wasted’ in these levels of debate and often a great deal of hurt.
What Serge Benhayon is exposing here is how we allow ourselves to be controlled. In years gone by it would have been the church, today it’s being controlled by media. What we think, believe, what’s the new in thing, etc. However what’s going on for us that we find ourselves in the position of allowing this control? Are we not wanting to see the truth of things, which is why we are happy to see the so called truth of what is put forward by media? When we consider that everything is energy…are we potentially feeding the might of the media with our own choices and arrogant ways of being?
There seems to be a real apathy within our society that I can relate the feeling directly to myself. We see all that is happening before us and yet to different degrees we sit on our hands and wait. It’s almost having the detailed TV guide and remote beside you and knowing that nothing is coming on to watch and yet in place of taking action and turn off the TV we just let it run and keep looking back at the TV guide thinking it may change itself. Like all things it will need an action point from us consistently to bring the change is needed but if we are sitting on the couch watching then the TV is just allowed to play all it wants.
There is a lot happening in places of control- the media, government, business, education system etc that we don’t want to feel or make a stand on, short term personal gains are often chosen over a long term commitment for real change. Many of us, do not give a second thought to the media unless we are personally impacted by its ruthless attempts to use us as the next day’s sensational story, and most of us occupy ourselves by reading other peoples misery. What is it that will make the shift to long term change? understanding that there are ripples and that every choice matters in our life can make a huge difference to how perceive life. Every turned cheek, sarcastic thought, laugh at someone else discontent, is a ripple in the pool of the universe. I have begun to take steps to leave a wake of responsibility. This makes for true long term change and this has been inspired by observing walking this within their own lives…including Serge Benhayon.
Cyber abuse is a crime and needs to be treated and punished as such.
Anyone that has truly spent time with Serge Benhayon knows that he lives everything he presents. It’s a truth that has a livingness. Serge has set a different standard when it comes to integrity and if the media do not represent that, which in my experience they have not, then they are simply doing what the catholic church did to the so-called heretics of their time, we like to think we have come a long way, but have we? It’s time we make our own media, one that is grass roots and from the villagers and that is exactly what UniMed has done, leading the way once more!
Serge Benhayon has such a deep and profound level of respect and understanding of all people and where they may be in life. There is no judgment at all here just a great honouring of the very natural and innate qualities that is within every person.
In talking about a free economy, what I find interesting is that Evidence Base Medicine is used as a way to reduce the choice and free market if you will of what is available to us in terms of health care. The vocal proponents of such are basically the equivalent of the church calling complimentary therapists witches to try to prevent people from using their services. What I find fascinating is that the two blend in beautifully together and if practiced together would provide a huge benefit for the whole community and ultimately save a lot of money for the government’s spending on health care.
There is so much corruption in our media, that we have gotten tangled up and some how many of us think it is normal, and it is some how it is naive to be honest, truthful and accountable…cynicism, bullying and sensationalism is the flavour of the day, be witty and not feel the seriousness of our situation as a humanity and ignore what is being portrayed as news for the falseness it is….I am not alone in ignoring that fact that I have been fed information with a certain slant rather than the truth. And we know that the media holds a lot of control on other areas of life, it is definitely time to look at where we are accountable in our lives for what is false, as we are the consumers of the media.
Serge Benhayon continues to inspire me as he steadfastly presents to humanity the truth that he knows in every part of his being and that he lives in every way. He knows that there will be many who will fight this truth, challenge it and in some cases, there have been some who have tried very underhanded ways to have him and the truth discredited. You may be able to discredit the truth, usually using sensationalism, for a while, but eventually the lies will fall away and the truth will be there for all to see; but of course it will still be our choice to live it, or not.
and unfortunately we are avid consumers of it. I have observed on numerous occasions in varying situations that we can criticise the honesty of the media and their tactics, which is very much justified on occasion. However at the same time, we don’t make the choice to turn off the TV or stop buying the newspaper. As Serge Benhayon has presented on, where there is a supply, there has been a demand.
Imagine if we were told the truth on all products and services we purchase and use? And that was the basis or advertising and marketing? It would change the ball game completely. Lets say working at a fast food restaurant. “I work at a restaurant that sells items for people to eat that does not consider the wellbeing of the body and simply considers the balance of the businesses bottom line.” That would certainly make life very interesting!
There is a long history of spokespersons for truth being shut down, persecuted and abused if not worse. And it is very difficult in our societies to get the truth out there to a wider audience if you don’t have the media on board, because if they have a different angle to sell or protect, then nothing is safe from their wrath. Why lie about Serge Benhayon, there is the big question that one day we will come to the understanding of and recognise what is being presented.
When not one mainstream media outlet wants to look openly at Universal Medicine and study it to report the absolute Truth, rather than pursue a sensationalist headline or story, you have to ask – What is it about this organisation that ruffles the feathers of the ‘high and mighty’?
I loved what was shared about the free market and how the media muddy that, acting like they are the deciders of what services the ‘villager’ should like and not like. It was also a great point that it was never the villagers who persecuted the healers in their towns. It was the power and control hungry institutions like the church, and now it’s the media.
This episode highlights how integrity and responsibility is sorely needed within our media and broadcasting services. Otherwise what are we consuming, aligning to and agreeing with, when we do not discern or speak to distortion and misinterpretation of the truth?
When Serge Benhayon says that “tenderness is a form of intelligence” he says it with so much clarity. There is not an once of doubt or even of trying to convince anyone. It simply is stated as a fact which we are free to accept or reject. This in itself answers many questions about what intelligence Serge Benhayon is working with, to be able to be so clear.
Its so beautifull how Serge Benhayon presents how he markets the products with universal medicine ” allowing the consumer to be informed by the truth so that they ( the customer ) can make the choices about the product that they are choosing ” . Would this not be lovely when all product sellers do this . The words ‘small print’ will lose its value.
Sitting with the reality that we the consumers, are the people who demand stuff from suppliers, the media, corporations etc really gets you to to stop. It is easy to blame the media, yes responsibility is there, but we as the consumers need to really question what we consume and why? If we did not want it they would not be able to sell it.
The media has turned into emotional stories and opinions which is not what I thought it stood for. The fact is the media can be a true and factual account but as a society we have allowed it to not be this. The question becomes why are we looking for the drama and the hook rather than the facts.
Thank you Rebecca Asquith, I love the way Serge Benhayon has simple explained “the free economy that is not so free”. What products the minority want for the masses so as to support their greed and their arrogance and their perceived status – anyone that brings truth to this set up will often be attacked and smeared.
I like when Serge Benhayon explains that ” truth is not been traded ” a simple example of this is how ingredients are camouflaged by whats written in bold writing on the front packaging like certain breakfast cereals , it will say ” hight fibre ” ” low salt ” ” vitamins d and calcium ” then look at the small print on the back and it says 40 % sugar . A lot of these deceptive ways of selling ” junk food ” was discovered by the English house of common committee on obesity.
The media is a mouth piece for an agenda, the agenda is set by the few and consumed by the many and many of us do not question its origin, authenticity and why the issues raised as news are so narrow and so clearly of a certain mindset. Time for journalism to be accountable and time for us to be more discerning about what we choose to consume.
Its amazing in an era of modern technology , where just about all evidence can be confirmed if it is true or if it is not true . By emailing confirmation , video , Skype interviews ,Facebook and so on ,people can be contacted at a drop of a hat to verify a story . One would think it would be impossible to tell a false story in the media and if a false story did happen to get out it could be very quickly removed and apologised about.
But NO its the oppose ” freedom of the press” what a sad joke that has come to be .
For the record, I, being a male have not found Serge Benhayon to be a ” man hater “. I have found him to be a very caring supportive friend. Thank you Serge .
The media is like big brother in the sense that they deliver what they want the public to know rather than a sharing of unbiased facts that are simply presented. We have come to the point where journalism picks a side of the story and can manipulate its readers. What a shame that we as a society have welcomed this with open arms.
We have allowed a lesser expression within the media for too long, the media is an industry not based on truth rather it is based on wanting to excite, stimulate and entertain, within this we get many stories that are false and misleading, the media needs to take responsibility for the way in which it reports and we as a general public need to ask why we keep buying stories that we know deep down are lies.
Most media is so corrupt, it really incites blame and anger, though we are the ones that fall for it and continue to buy papers and give energy to something that we all know deep down is harming our society.
Serge Benhayon is a leading light in standing strong against such malevolent, manipulative behaviour.
In the latest elections here in the UK the papers were having a field day; just like the referendum all it showed and exposed was how manipulative and corrupt the media is today. It was a form of propaganda and it was feeding it down our faces. Here we are in 2017 and we call ourselves the intelligent race where-by we allow such corruption and lies to run and influence our lives. Calling it out and asking for Truth is the only way it is going to change and this is exactly what Serge Benhayon is claiming, and it feels amazing not accepting such lies. We all have the responsibility of calling out what is not true and asking and seeking the truth.
To see Universal Medicine standing stronger than ever under such a media storm is a testament to the integrity of a business that is community based, people based and upholds true community values.
Jenny that is so true and yet at the same time how many people miss out from the amazing qualities they get from Universal Medicine should the media not have ‘scared’ them away.
“We are our own media” this can be a great positive for change that the world needs, we reflect in everything we do so why not reflect the love the world needs and not be in reaction to the lack of love that abounds. The media is not offering us a true reflection, we know that by the experiences we see and hear others be misrepresented and lied about, so being our own media is needed more than ever before.
Now this is real television that is well worth watching. You can clearly see the equality between Rebecca Asquith and Serge Benhayon so when they discuss the topic of equality between the sexes we have already witnessed this to be true for there they are before us living that truth. I love the understanding that Serge Benhayon brings as to why the media are so hell bent on publishing the lies they do. I also love how Serge has likened what is happening today, with the savage media attacks on anyone who is standing up and making a difference and effecting change in a community, to the witch-hunts of the past where healers were dragged out of their homes and burnt at the stake on the whim of the church. Today we have people’s names denigrated all across the media in vicious smear campaigns in the hope that the lies stick and their livelihoods are destroyed.
There is a part in this interview where Serge Benhayon talks about the freedom of the consumer to choose based their own experiences, and I do not think that this has ever really been spoken about in such a way – that is – with genuine freedom given in the way that he has, because as I listen to his words and his tone of voice and watch his body, there is not a hook or a need any where. Serge seems to actually totally want freedom of choice, with no desire to benefit himself, it is just a possible way that things can be.
Since most media outlets seem to refuse to let the truth get in the way of a good story its no surprise some chose to report on the uttering of unfounded and untrue statements from one or two people over the facts, and the benefits that hundreds of tax paying citizens experience with Universal Medicine. The jaded angle that some media have taken means it is longer a free market for Universal Medicine, as the consumers may not have the opportunity to truly choose freely. To explain in more depth, the consumer has been bombarded with propaganda or affected by this gossip and innuendo, giving an unfair playing field. It’s amazing when we look at the fact that despite all of this, there is still a high demand for this product and business. That is pretty incredible considering what we have learned in this episode and the fact that the brand has suffered such targeting. With all this in mind, the more pressing question might be…what exactly is being offered by this company for it to continue to thrive despite these conditions? If most other companies would have been destroyed by the savage lies that have been spread, what’s different with this company? It’s something to ponder anyway; maybe what’s on offer is worth its weight in gold?
